As the cumulative total COVID-19 cases in Uganda hits 1,603. Stanbic and dfcu banks have each registered cases and branches and closed branches. They join the media and Toyota Uganda who have also registered cases.

A total of 1,165 patients have recovered and been discharged while 15 deaths have occurred.

Stanbic Bank Uganda has temporarily its William Street Branch after an employee there tested positive for COVID-19.

Dfcu also closed its Lugogo branch after five of their staff tested positive for COVID-19.

In statement, dfcu said: “We also appeal to our customers and the public to adhere to the SOPs by the Ministry of Health to curb the spread of the pandemic and protect our families.”
